Here we are! I have been looking forward to this episode for months, seeing it on the editorial calendar. Why? Because it is the 200th episode of Leadership Without Losing Your Soul! In this episode, we highlight several guests who have really inspired courage and hope by sharing their practices, insights, and practical tools that we can use in our everyday work life.

Leading for Courage and Hope 200th Episode

03:47

When we think back over 200 episodes, I’d like to highlight a couple of favorite moments, conversations, or maybe something that inspired courage and hope with a special impact.

04:06

Let’s start with Dory Clark, from The Long Game and her concept of optimizing for interest. Picking the option that’s most interesting when you can because that’s how you’ll spend your day.

10:21

Next is Marina Nitze and Nick Sinai, and their book called Hack you Bureaucracy on achieving change in large organizations. And using their tactic, strangle the mainframe, which is working piece by piece on something too large to tackle head-on.

17:52

Then we have Marshall Goldsmith on perceptions of our behavior. Remember, that you could completely change, but you have to also convince other people that you have changed and that the change is going to stick.

22:09

Michael Reddington on handling excuses in the workplace with curiosity to open up opportunities to coach thought processes and decision-making to get the job done.

34:50

The common thread through everything Let’s Grow Leaders does is to help people have the courage and hope to stand up for what matters, to speak the truth, to stand up to toxic work environments, and to share their ideas.

36:33

Some of these clips have been so meaningful because they get back to courage and hope and what is possible. A sense of inspiration, the courage to move forward, the energy and inspiration to do it, that’s what leadership’s all about.
